MAIN OBJECTIVES
The Foundation Khadimou Rassoul North-America and the Al Azar Institute have quite the same objectives. The Foundation's main goal is to provide logistic, financial and technical assistance to Al Azar Institute in carrying its noble mission.

The overall mission is
to strengthen authentic faith in Muslims and provide them with a good education, emphasizing Islamic Culture, so that they withstand devastating currents of thoughts;
to effectively contribute to the fight against illiteracy, juvenile crime and unemployment.
These noble objectives can be achieved only through good education programs and the propagation of Islamic culture.
Sheik Mourtada Mbacke in the early 1950s founded Al Azar Institute to carry forward the wish of the Venerated Sheik Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke who showed tremendous interest in instruction and education of the Muslims. He quoted to youngsters: “WHOEVER PROHIBITS YOU FROM LEARNING IS A MISGUIDED PERSON AND A REPRESENTATIVE OF SATAN.”
“I RECOMMEND ALL MY STUDENTS TO SEEK KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICE RELIGION AND CONDUCT PROPERLY; IT IS ONLY THROUGH THESE THREE POINTS THAT THEIR DESIRES COULD BE FULFILLED.”
Sheik Mourtada Mbacke, in his devotion to spread the Islamic culture, was the main provider of financial resource. In 1974-1975 he established the first modern school in Darou Salam (Ndame), which is 5 kilometers away from Touba. The school offered six grades at the elementary level.
Thanks to the great role Al Azar Institute played in the fight against illiteracy and juvenile crime with one of the best program taught by a highly dedicated staff and a very low tuition, many families enrolled their children.
Because of the growing number of registration, The Sheik opened several other establishments in every major city in Senegal .
